Oksijen joins MMS IOP Group, an industry initiative on MMS interoperability


Oksijen today announced it’s participation in the MMS IOP Group as an associate member.

The activities of the group include facilitation and co-ordination of MMS interoperability testing, problem solving and the channelling of technical information related to such testing. The results of this work will be released to 3GPP and the WAP -Forum to be included in the open standards defined by these bodies. This will assist manufacturers and developers in ensuring that MMS applications are compatible and will result in a more rapid introduction of MMS products to the market. In addition, The MMS IOP Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the newly formed Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) indicating its intent to consolidate into the OMA in order to leverage the requirements and participation from broader membership.
