Oksijen announces the first commercial OSA/Parlay
based
IN deployment in the World Immediate Release
Oksijen has successfully completed the world`s
first commercial OSA/Parlay based IN deployment
in Telsim network using its new generation IN platform
called INOX.
INOX is a new generation IN (Intelligent Network)
platform providing carrier class applications such
as 'mobile PBX', 'prepaid ' and 'VPN ' with all
necessary mobility functions and network level interfaces
based on 3GPP OSA (Open Service Access) and Parlay
3.1 specifications. It is a network, vendor, platform
independent and cost effective IN product, which
can handle high network traffic capacity, and large
number of concurrent users with its OSA/Parlay based,
scalable and flexible architecture. It consists
of the following major building blocks:
INOX-Gateway is an open but secure interface between
the applications and underlying network.
INOX-Application Server is a container for new
generation, innovative applications.
Sertac Akyuzol, Deputy General Manager of Telsim
said "We see the introduction of Oksijen`s
INOX platform as a perfect revenue generator, allowing
our subscribers to enjoy rapidly developed and innovative
new generation services".

ETSI, 3GPP and Parlay Group for definition and implementation
of the architectural components in new generation
platforms. Standardized open OSA/Parlay APIs (Application
Programming Interfaces) allow next generation applications
to access the bearer networks in a secure manner.
Oksijen is a member of Parlay Group. With over
50 member companies, the Parlay Group is a multi-vendor
consortium formed to develop open and technology-independent
APIs. Using the open API technology, internet and
e-business companies, ISPs, software developers,
network device vendors and providers, service bureaus,
ASPs, application suppliers, and large and small
enterprises can develop applications and technology
solutions to operate across multiple networking
platforms.
